Each strand consists of only seven wires (typically arranged as one center wire and six outer wires). This configuration of thick wires results in a structure that is exceptionally simple and robust, albeit at the expense of flexibility.
Due to physical characteristics such as extreme wear and crush resistance, high rigidity, and low elongation, the 6×7-WSC rope is specifically designed for operating conditions involving high tension, intense friction, and minimal bending.
