steel wire rope for guy wires & stays, conveyor belt, aircraft operations, and general purposes.
The 6×7-FC is a classic wire rope featuring a coarse-wire construction and a fiber core. Renowned within the wire rope family for its exceptional wear resistance and good flexibility, it serves as a fundamental model that balances durability with pliability.
Each strand consists of only seven wires (typically arranged with one central wire and six outer wires). This configuration of thick wires results in a remarkably simple and robust structure, providing the rope with outstanding wear resistance.
The core is made of natural or synthetic fiber (such as sisal or polypropylene). Acting like a "sponge," the fiber core stores a significant amount of lubricant while providing excellent elastic cushioning, which substantially enhances the flexibility of the 6×7 structure.
