steel wire rope for cranes, mining industry general, Shaft lifting and other general purposes.

The 6×37M-FC is a classic wire rope featuring a fiber core (FC) and a "point contact" strand design. Although "linear contact" wire ropes are more common today, the 6×37 configuration remains indispensable in specific applications due to its exceptional flexibility.

The designation "37" indicates that each strand is composed of approximately 37 wires of identical diameter. Within the strand, the wires in different layers share the same lay angle but have different lay lengths; this causes the wires of adjacent layers to cross one another, resulting in contact occurring only at the intersection points—hence the term "point contact."

The high number of small-diameter wires makes the rope highly flexible, allowing it to easily navigate smaller sheaves or drums; it is therefore ideally suited for applications involving frequent bending and complex reeving paths. As one of the most traditional wire rope constructions, it benefits from a mature manufacturing process and relatively low procurement costs.

The core is made of natural or synthetic fiber (such as sisal or polypropylene). This fiber core acts like a "sponge," capable of retaining significant amounts of lubricant while providing excellent elastic cushioning.
