6×24FC-FC(6×24+7FC)
6x24FC-FC

core: fiber core
strand: point contact
steel wire rope for marine and offshore applications, salvage operations, lifting and lashing, and rigging manufacturing.

The “6x24FC-FC” configuration is also frequently designated as 6×24+7FC. In addition to a central main fiber core, each of the six strands contains its own independent fiber core (hence the 7FC structure). This design further enhances the wire rope's flexibility and elastic cushioning capabilities.

The steel wires within each strand are laid using wires of uniform diameter; while the lay angles across the layers are equal, the lay lengths differ. This results in the wires of adjacent layers crossing one another, creating a “point contact” state where contact occurs only at the intersection points.

The seven fiber cores act like “sponges,” capable of storing significant amounts of lubricant; under load, they continuously lubricate the internal wires, thereby retarding rust and wear.
