6×19S-FC

The 6×19S-FC is a classic Seale-construction wire rope featuring line contact and a fiber core. It combines excellent wear resistance with the flexibility and internal lubrication provided by the fiber core, making it one of the most widely used workhorse models in lifting, mining, and general industrial applications.

The "19S" designation indicates that each strand consists of 19 wires arranged in a Seale pattern, featuring thicker outer wires and thinner inner wires. This "thick-over-thin" design imparts exceptional wear resistance to the rope. The line contact between wires within the strand ensures more uniform stress distribution and eliminates the secondary bending stresses associated with point-contact ropes. Reduced internal friction effectively prevents fatigue-induced wire breakage caused by repeated bending.

The core is made of natural or synthetic fiber (such as sisal or polypropylene). Acting like a "sponge," the fiber core stores a significant amount of lubricant while providing excellent elastic cushioning.
