● rotation-resistant design
● core: steel core
● strand: 1×7
● main hoist rope for tower crane, crawler crane, mobile crane, gantry crane, drilling & piling rig etc.
The 24(W)×7 (non-"K" type) crane wire rope is a rotation-resistant, multi-strand rope featuring a round-strand, line-contact construction. Here, "24" indicates the number of outer strands, "W" denotes the Warrington construction (using a combination of thick and thin wires), and "7" signifies that each strand consists of seven wires. The line-contact arrangement of the wires within the strands enhances the rope's flexibility and bendability, making it ideal for applications involving multi-layer winding and frequent bending.
Similar to the 35W×7 type, it utilizes a multi-strand design where the lay direction of the inner strands opposes that of the outer strands. Under tension, the opposing rotational torques generated by the inner and outer layers cancel each other out; this effectively prevents suspended loads from spinning or the rope from kinking, making it ideal for single-rope lifting and high-lift applications.
