18xK7-WSC(19xK7)

The 18×K7-WSC also can be called 19×K7 crane wire rope is a multi-layer, rotation-resistant wire rope. Here, "18" indicates the number of outer strands, "K" denotes the compacted strand process, "7" signifies that each strand consists of seven wires, and "WSC" stands for Wire Strand Core.

It features a multi-layer strand structure in which the inner and outer strands are laid in opposite directions. Under tension, the rotational torques generated by the inner and outer layers counteract each other, effectively preventing suspended loads from spinning or the rope from kinking. Offering above-average torsional resistance, it is suitable for applications such as short-stroke hoisting and light-duty lifting.

During the strand-forming process, the strands undergo cold drawing or swaging through a die, transforming the contact between wires from "line contact" to "surface contact." This results in a smoother strand surface where wires fit tightly together without visible gaps, achieving a higher metal fill density.
