18xK19S-WSC(19xK19S)

The 18×K19S-WSC also can be called 19×K19S crane wire rope is a high-performance, multi-strand, rotation-resistant wire rope. The designation "18" indicates the number of outer strands; "K" denotes the strand compaction process; "19S" signifies the Seale (line-contact) construction; and "WSC" stands for a wire strand core.

Similar to the 18×7 series, it features a multi-strand construction where the lay direction of the inner strands opposes that of the outer strands. Under tension, the opposing rotational torques generated by the inner and outer layers cancel each other out, effectively preventing the load from spinning in mid-air or the rope from kinking. It offers superior torsional resistance and is suitable for applications such as short-lift hoisting and light-duty lifting operations.

The Seale (S) line-contact construction is the key feature distinguishing it from the 18×7 series. The "19S" designation indicates that each strand consists of 19 wires arranged in the Seale pattern (featuring thicker outer wires and thinner inner wires). This configuration creates line contact between the wires, resulting in a larger contact area and enhanced resistance to both wear and crushing forces.
