15×K7-IWRC

The 15×K7-IWRC is a high-performance, multi-strand, rotation-resistant steel wire rope designed for extreme heavy-duty loads and complex operating conditions. The designation "15" indicates the number of outer strands; "K" denotes the compacted strand process; "7" signifies that each strand consists of seven wires; and "IWRC" stands for Independent Wire Rope Core.

It features a multi-layer strand structure (with 15 outer strands and an inner core structure typically comprising 1×31WS or similar), where the lay direction of the inner strands opposes that of the outer strands. Under tension, the rotational torques generated by the inner and outer layers counteract each other, effectively preventing suspended loads from spinning or the rope from kinking. With its excellent rotation-resistant properties, it is ideally suited for single-rope lifting, high-lift applications, and complex pulley systems.

During the stranding process, the strands undergo cold drawing or swaging through a die, transforming the contact between internal wires from "line contact" to "surface contact." This results in an exceptionally smooth strand surface, high metal fill density, and minimal contact stress, enabling the rope to withstand intense friction against sheaves and drums while offering superior wear resistance.
